Dear colleagues, It gives us immense pleasure to welcome you to ICCAIS 2021, 14-17 October in Xi'an, China. This year marks the 10th anniversary of the conference, a special event worthy of celebration. We will make every attempt to ensure this event is memorable and trust the world will be in full recovery from COVID-19. The conference will boast plenary sessions, scientific presentations, panel discussions, and include a large number of face-to-face meetings and communications. There will also be a one-day pre-congress workshop with guest speakers discussing cutting-edge achievements on Control, Automation and Information Sciences (CAIS), which is the theme of this conference. There will be facilities for oral, poster and virtual presentations if necessary. Located in central-northwest China, the grand city of Xi’an is a modern testament of the great changes of China and serves as a living history book. Called Chang'an (meaning the Eternal City) in ancient times, it is one of the birthplaces of the ancient Chinese civilization in the Yellow River Basin area. Home to the eastern terminal of the Silk Road and the site of the famous Terracotta Warriors of the Qin Dynasty, the city has well earned its worldwide reputation. More than 3,000 years of history, including over 1,100 years as the capital city of as many as 13 age-old dynasties, have endowed the city with an amazing historical and cultural heritage, with the added advantage of convenient, modern facilities. As the golden autumn month with blue skies and white clouds, October is the most ideal time to visit Xi'an. We look forward to welcoming you!
